What is Homes for Heroes?

The Homes for Heroes mission is to provide extraordinary savings to heroes who provide extraordinary services to our nation and its communities every day.

Since 2009, Homes for Heroes, Inc., has helped over 69,000 heroes save over $135 million on their real estate transactions, sold over $19 billion in real estate to heroes, actively partnered with over 3,500 like-minded real estate and mortgage professionals who’ve joined in the mission, and donated over $1.6 million to heroes in need through the Homes for Heroes Foundation. Homes for Heroes, Inc. is the largest nationwide network of affiliate real estate, mortgage, and local business specialists; committed to providing easy ways for heroes to save on a home. Shortly after 9/11, Homes for Heroes, Inc. was established to give back to firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, military (active, reserves & veterans), healthcare professionals and teachers for all they do.

How we help YOU save...

Let us break this down. When a qualified Hero buys or sells a home and uses Lori, Darla and Ideal Homes as their Real Estate Agent/Team, we personally give back 1/3 of our real estate commission to the Homes for Heroes Program. Within about two weeks after closing, HFH will send that Hero a check in the mail for approximately .07% of the sales price of the home. The remaining goes to the Homes for Heroes Foundation, which provides grants to other non-profit groups to help them continue to do the good work that they do.
EXAMPLE: So, let's say you buy a $300,000 house. Lori and Darla send $2,400 from their commission to HFH. HFH then sends you $2,100 (CASH MONEY!) and donates $300 to their Foundation. Since it is a nationwide program, that $300 combined with other Heroes' donations across the country turns into $5,000 , $10,000, and even up to $150,000 grants to groups who may be fighting homelessness in veterans or helping families of wounded firefighters, etc.  That $2,100 can go a long way to buy new furniture or appliances when you buy your new home! 

HOMES FOR HEROES CIRCLE OF GIVING

Homes for Heroes provides heroes with more savings than any other national program. When heroes buy or sell a home using Homes for Heroes, they also help other heroes in need because Homes for Heroes, Inc. donates a portion of its earnings to the Homes for Heroes Foundation. This Circle of Giving strengthens American communities by putting more money into the hands of our American heroes, and benefits American community programs, organizations and businesses.

2022: 20 Years | Over 50,000 Heroes Served and $100 Million Given Back
Celebrating the company's 20th Anniversary and the amazing milestones achieved in the last year, including 50,000 heroes served, $1 million awarded in hero grants to heroes in need. In 2022, after 20 years, the company reached $100 million given back to heroes as Hero Rewards savings!
2024: Darla and Lori have personally held approximately 97 Hero closings and given back roughly $125,000 in Hero Rewards.

WHO QUALIFIES?
(AND HOW DO I GET STARTED?)

Qualifying heroes include, but are not limited to current and former firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, law enforcement and all other first responders. All ranks of active military, reserves and veterans of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. All nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals. Also, Pre-K, elementary, secondary and post-secondary educators, teachers, professors and education administrative staff.
